Is Your Vehicle Ready For Spring?

Spring is right around the corner, but for those of you who suffer from allergies like hay fever or asthma, spring may not be the most comfortable time of year. One of the quickest and easiest ways you can reduce pollens entering your vehicle's interior cabin is to check to see if your vehicle's cabin air filter needs to be changed.

The benefits of replacing a car's cabin filter include:
  • Protects occupants from allergy causing pollens and bacteria.
  • Filters out the road dirt and dust for a cleaner interior.
  • Provides cleaner breathing from less respiratory particles.
Despite these advantages, many cabin filters are not changed at service or not included in the log book servicing intervals which means the vehicle is not providing the most comfort for its passengers, or some people simply don't know their vehicle has a cabin air filter. Some vehicles are even supplied new with no cabin air filter even though their is provision for one. Subaru recommends cabin filter replacement every 12,000-15,000 miles.
